Throughout this year, we held sessions to present the biography «Diogo Vasconcelos: ‹The man who touched the future›» by Ana Rita Ramos and Teresa Ribeiro. We were able to gather friends, family, admirers and readers of Diogo. Our meetings took place in Lisbon (Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation), Porto (CEIIA), Braga (Primavera Software) and Aveiro (Municipal Library). The last session, held on November 30th, was planned to take place in Brussels, however, with the worsening of the pandemic situation, it was held virtually.
Diogo’s legacy was not confined by borders. In the closing session, we had not only testimonies and tributes from Portuguese friends and family, but also numerous testimonies and homages from friends and professionals from the European Commission, the European Parliament and other institutions in which Diogo had a positive influence. The planning of a translation of the biography into English is already underway and, although it was a beautiful and exciting closing session, we will continue to carry Diogo’s example and innovative strength into 2022 and beyond.
